What is The Marquee?
A storefront for people who put on shows. You get a public site with your events, ticketing, a shop, posts and lead capture — on your own domain if you want one — plus a dashboard to run it and scan people in at the door.
Do I need my own Stripe account?
Yes. You connect your own Stripe account, and buyers pay you directly. We never hold your money. If you do not have a Stripe account you can create one during setup.
When do I get paid?
On Stripe’s payout schedule for your account, not ours — because the money goes to your Stripe balance, never to us. Typically a couple of business days after the sale, depending on your country and account history.
What does it cost?
Two things. Membership — Host $19/mo, Headliner $49/mo, Producer $99/mo, each with a 15-day free trial. And a transaction fee per sale: 3% + $1.25 per ticket order, 2% + $0.30 per product order. Stripe’s own processing fees are separate and go to Stripe.
Does the transaction fee apply during the free trial?
Yes. The trial covers the membership, not the per-sale fee. Any real sale carries the fee on every plan.
What happens when my 15-day trial ends?
If you have not started a paid plan, the workspace drops to the free tier and the paid features lock. Nothing is deleted — your events, products and posts stay exactly as they were, and starting a plan restores access to them.
Can I cancel?
Any time. Cancelling stops future billing and your access runs to the end of the period you have paid for. Cancelling inside the trial costs nothing.
Who handles refunds to my buyers?
You do — you are the seller and the money is in your Stripe account. You can refund an order from your dashboard in one click. When you do, our transaction fee on that order is returned as well, so you are not paying a service fee on a sale that did not stand.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, on Headliner and Producer. You keep and pay for the domain. Setup is currently arranged with us directly rather than self-serve — email us and we will point it at your storefront.
Can I remove Marquee branding?
On Producer. That also unlocks your own logo and brand colour on the storefront, and a custom from-name and reply-to on the emails your buyers receive.
What is on each plan?
Host covers running shows — events, paid tickets and free RSVP, orders and refunds, door check-in, and broadcast email. Headliner adds the storefront editor and themes, your own domain, products and a shop, posts, and the growth tools — QR codes, tracking links, forms, popups and pixels. Producer adds white-label branding and the AI assistant. Full list on the pricing section.
Do my buyers need an account?
No. They enter a name, an email and a card. The ticket arrives by email with a QR code you scan at the door.
Can I sell free tickets?
Yes — free RSVP is available on every plan, and no transaction fee applies to a free ticket.
Who owns my content and my customer list?
You do. Your events, products, posts and buyer records are yours. We do not sell data or market to your buyers. See the Privacy Policy.
What happens to my data if I leave?
Deleting your account deletes your workspace and everything under it — events, products, posts and order records. Export anything you want to keep first, and email us if you need help getting it out.
