The post-show email

The 48 hours after a good night are the highest-intent window you will ever have with an audience. Most organizers spend them resting. Send one email instead.

Send it within 48 hours

Longer than that and the feeling is gone. Broadcast to everyone who checked in while the night is still a memory rather than a receipt.

Say thank you, then say what is next

Two short paragraphs. The first is gratitude and one specific detail from the night — the second set, the queue that went around the corner. The detail proves you were there.

The second is the date of the next one and a link, even if tickets are not on sale yet.

Ask one question

End with a question that can be answered in a sentence: what should we do differently? Replies to that question are the cheapest research in the business, and they come from people who care enough to type.
