Refunds without drama

Every event gets refund requests. The organizers who find them stressful are the ones who never decided the policy in advance, so each request becomes a fresh negotiation.
Decide before you sell
Write the policy on the storefront before the first ticket sells. "Refunds up to 7 days before doors, none after" is a complete policy and takes one line.
A published policy turns an argument into a reference.
Refunding is one click
Orders shows every purchase with a full refund button, and refunding voids the QR ticket automatically. There is no second step and no way to forget one.
Transfers cost you nothing
When someone cannot come after your cutoff, offer to change the name on the ticket instead of refunding. They stay happy, the seat stays sold, and you keep the money.
Say yes to that far more often than you say yes to late refunds.
